This book is so bad it legitimately ruined my book club. I’m not kidding. It is arguably the worst book I’ve ever read.

Even though [b:Jonathan Livingston Seagull|71728|Jonathan Livingston Seagull|Richard Bach|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1432222358s/71728.jpg|1743336] was the first book I've read from [a:Richard Bach|16904|Richard Bach|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1420982726p2/16904.jpg], this one made more impact. While reading "Livingston" I was feeling somehow what Bach wanted to say, but could not really rationalize that. I could feel the change it was making, but could not describe it. Though, the change was definitely there.
... but "Illusions" have cleared the sky and explained everything. Sure in "everything" I do not mean EVERYTHING, but surely ALL what Bach wanted to tell me about everything. However, I can see now, that to digest this book one should be at a very specific point of one's development as a human being. This point is not related to the age. Experience - maybe, but not age. It can be early to read it, and it can be late. Better be early :)

I'd like to believe that I haven't grown up enough to understand the wisdom of this book. Or this book is not of the standards of 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' or any good book.
I look forward to a future when this might make sense to me.

One of my favorite books of all time. I believe I’ve read it three times now and I had to buy my own copy instead of borrowing my dad’s. It’s not too long, you can read it in a couple hours, and it’s completely worth it.

One of my favorite books to date. Having a blend of real & fictional elements(or not so fictional) made it such a pleasure to read from the very start of the book. It throws you right in to the story which is appreciate. I researched a movie for this book but sadly there isnt one..this book was so vivid, I’ll possibly give it another read! Super insightful, deeply philosophical, and kept being surprised by the next thing. Fantastic book!
