There's something a little magical about this book (or "messiah-ic" if you prefer). It's one I remember reading as a young adult and it really resonating with me. And the cover with the blue feather, it's something I could always recall.
Now, years later, re-reading it held mostly the same magic for me. I liked the approach to religion, philosophy, and the "what-ifs" raised in terms of those things. It made it approachable, and dare I say, entertaining. There's nothing overtly in your face or suggestive of a particular religion (outside of the terms themselves).
It's a quick read, but highly enjoyable, which makes it easy to put this one on the shelf to re-read later. Bach's philosophies on how a Messiah would feel being on the earth doing your average grind, and meeting and learning from him are thoughtful and well written.
This will always be a book I recommend.

Decididamente um dos melhores livros do ano e da minha vida e uma daquelas leituras que vou fazer várias vezes. Que mensagem perfeita! Que livro fantástico, certeiro e tão inspirador, como aliás Bach já nos habituou.
I can't put into words the beauty of this book. I know I will read it several times during my life. I actually started rereading it as soon as I finished it, but a friend let me borrow "One" and I can't wait to get started on it!!! Richard Bach is a genius.
The section in this book about the vampire changed the way I looked at life.
People that prefer this type of soft-pedal, new-age philosophy can probably be found having epiphanies in the Hallmark section of the grocery store.

I absolutely love this book. I pick it up often and send it to my good frinds.
I’ve read this book countless times since my mom first gave it to me while I was in high school. It changes for me a bit after each reading. It will always be a favorite for me because I think it speaks to the untapped potential of humankind. I hope we get there someday.

i read this book at a time in my life when I really needed inspiration and a different outlook. I absolutely loved it. I'm not sure I would be so impressed with it now. Many people would say that its a load of crap, or just fluff spirituality. It might be, but sometimes these things are useful.
