The moment she got all hot and bothered thinking about him being a virgin (because.. you know.. he was a CAPTIVE FOR 22 YEARS), I knew this was going to be a DNF. I tried to go on further because of the (surprisingly) rave reviews, but I couldn’t stomach it any more. 

For his abduction being a huge part of the plot, the other characters (specifically the fmc) do not treat that with the sensitivity it deserves. 

Also there are a lot of flashbacks to when they were children & adults doing childrens’ voices in audiobooks gives me the ick.

Wow!  Another great story!!  4.25 ⭐️
I still looved Still Beating more but this one was still so good!! 

Sydney’s best friend goes missing when she is a little girl. He was her life.  They had plans. 
22 years later he is finally back. 

The twist at the end wow!!  But the bond between Oliver and Sydney is sooo incredible. 

And we get to hear about my book friend Dean and Cora. 

I flew through this book. Def recommend.
