Listened to the audiobook, good narration. Did Shirley Jackson just taught me how to appreciate psychological horror?!
(Often I sense horror in daily life, but the familiar normalcy would soon reassure me. at least now I know my feelings did not happen in a vacuum.)

Te opowiadania naprawdę mają coś w sobie. Intrygują, powodują ciarki i dyskomfort, czasami mocniej zastanawiają. A przez klimat Nowego Jorku, dużo z nich kojarzyło mi się ze "Szklanym Kloszem". Tytułowa "Loteria", czyli ostatnie opowiadanie w zbiorze, przeraziło mnie chyba najbardziej.

like in every short story collection, there was some bad and some incredible stuff but overall i adored this and it's defintely making me want to pick up more short stories! not all of these stories were straight up horror, but there was something so unsettling and offputting in all of them. some are really going to stick with me and it has also really inspired me as a writer!! shirley jackson truly never disappoints...
