This book started as a charming romance that quickly became a dark fantasy. I love the enemies to lovers trope, and the story telling in this book is amazing. You truly get lost in this book, and you can't help but fall in love with the characters. Whilst the female MC is a little bit of a damsel but the other female characters couldn't be further from it. You will be on the edge of your seat and wanting to throw the book at the MCs on multiple occasions. For a new author, this is excellent.
I have had to remove a star due to the lack of proofreading. There are a lot of minor spelling issues, amongst a few other errors. But if you can see past that due to it being self-published, you are in for a treat.
