Unless you love listening to teenagers complain about their problems, the first half of this book is a waste of time. Are you getting over a break up? Better join a space program that you aren't interested in! Throughout this whole narrative all I could think about were the teenagers who missed out because their place was given to someone who didn't really want it. Not one of the tree main characters actually wanted to go to space for any reason other than escaping their problems.

A bit slow at first I almost put it down. But I'm glad I stuck with it. Wasn't really scary for me but I'm really into horror sooo. Good for a scifi/horror. Enjoy!

This was unexpectedly excellent SF/horror!
From the book blurbs, I expected this to be a lighter, "Hunger Games"-ish teen survival & celebrity tale. But it was so much more. Very suspenseful and the added photo artifacts and addendum added immediacy to the story.
I wish the author would write a follow-up, especially one describing the "DP7 event" alluded to at the end.

this book was creepy and the story kept me interested. but I'm not satisfied with the ending and the explanation. also the characters were flat and uninteresting. at least it was a quick read. but I didn't find it too terrifying.
