Recuerdo el final y wow...

I went into this not knowing it was horror, so late at night i actually got a bit freaked out.
The EYES.
so many dead.

wtf.
what the hell was that? It's 4 am and I'm so freaked out seriously and the end omg I don't know how to process that I'm done.

((2.5 maybe))

Esperaba mucho más.

172 Hours on the Moon started off really strongly: a secret Moon base from the 70's, a NASA publicity stunt of sending three teenagers with astronauts up there to drum up funding, bad and disturbing omens about the mission...

...but somewhere in the middle the book just fell apart. On the whole it is a pretty efficient scifi horror novel, and if I had read this when I was 12 or 13, I wouldn't have slept for a week. It's just a shame that the story ends up making quite little sense, and the science goes sour in rather unnecessary and stupid ways. Moreover there's a weird undercurrent of "science bad, something watching over us good" vibe in the story, which really put me off it.

172 Hours on the Moon has and intriguing premise and some pretty effective horror scenes, but that's about it. Can't recommend.

2.5/5
Not so sure about the star rating but yeah...
My biggest problem with the books is that despite being advertised as a 'horror' book, it did not scare me. And it's not like I'm such a big horror fan that nothing scares me, it's quite the opposite. I just didn't buy the story. I believe that was because of the way the author told the story. I've also found many logical mistakes throughout the book that I'm too lazy to list now. There were too many irrelevant knowledge, the first half had nothing to do with the rest of the book. I feel like the story was all over the place.
I feel like if more time was spent on this book, it could have been a very good novel, because the story is actually very interesting. It just wasn't told very well in my opinion.

I enjoyed it way better on my first reading mostly because the plot had a good hook and I needed to know what would happen next. But this time around I knew what would happen and there’s lots of plot points that didn’t have a point at all. There was some supernatural? elements that did not make sense. And the characters were not likeable which isn’t a terrible thing but there was no point to their backstories.

Amazing build that fell flat. Still freaked me out tho so points there.

So like can someone please explain this to me? Definitely changed my view of thoughts about this book!

Totally awesome and creepy, this fast-paced story had me hooked from the beginning. When 3 teenagers win the opportunity to go the moon, NASA presents them with a chance to celebrate and relive the past. However, it is soon apparent, that something is not adding up. I read this book in one sitting and found the story to be fresh and well-constructed. If you're looking for a uniquely entertaining novel, grab this one!

This was a great story. I enjoyed the story line very much. My only issue with it is that I would have really liked a complete explaination on why and what and how of everything. It would really have finished the job.
