disclaimer if you’ve read other reviews by me and are noticing a pattern: You’re correct that I don’t really give starred reviews, I feel like a peasant and don’t like leaving them and most often, I will only leave them if I vehemently despised a book. I enjoy most books for what they are, & I extract lessons from them all. Everyone’s reading experiences are subjective, so I hope my reviews provide enough information to let you know if a book is for you or not, regardless if I add stars or not. Ummmm I adore this series and I'm sad it's over!!!! I thought this was a satisfying end to the Crown of Feathers trilogy.

Considering I have not read the first two books in two years, this off it doesn’t really good job at reminding you what has happened so far in the plot without making it to obvious.

Reading this felt like coming home. I forgot how much I miss these characters and love them so much. Being each individual’s perspective, the author has a very good writing style to make each character unique.

The ending and the battle scene was very climactic and thoroughly enjoyable. The ending ended in a nice tight little bow that was both satisfying and a little sad.

My biggest gripe with this book is it was way too long. Halfway through the book I was starting to get anxious about wanting to get to the final battle scene and get to the end. There were a couple chapters that I felt like didn’t really add to the plot or even character growth and it could’ve done without. Some scenes were over explained it over described and I think I would’ve like to see his book. Be at least 100 pages less.

Nonetheless, I absolutely love this series, and I’m really going to miss the characters, especially the ones that are sadly no longer with us. I will definitely be picking up more books by this author, and look forward to seeing what she will write in the future.

I can't begin to tell you how pumped I was for this book. I didn't even want to read the book's summary, I was so ready to just dive in. With the last couple series enders I've read being a bit disappointing, I probably should have had a bit more apprehension going in, but with my re-read out of the way (and two amazing audios enhancing my experience) I was eager to see what the shadows had in store for me...

Overall, this is my new highest-recommended fantasy series. I just can't stop pushing it at people on Likewise or Facebook, and I'm definitely adding them to my gifting list for birthdays & holidays (as soon as the paperbacks come out). The diverse and intricate characters, the uplifting and relatable themes, and the fantastical and well-developed setting all combined into an endlessly engaging and emotional series which I will love to visit again and again. If any short stories or continuations ever come about in this world, which I wouldn't consider completely outside the range of possibility, I will pounce on them in a heartbeat. As it stands, I'm eagerly awaiting any future projects (2023?!) and updates from the author, and will be singing this series' praises for quite some time.

[For those interested, this series is also being made into a webcomic on WebToon. It's not yet through the first book, but it does look to be a fantastic adaptation so far. So be sure to check it out here: Crown of Feathers

Awesome conclusion to an awesome series! This series has been a favorite of mine since day one. It was filled with amazing characters, had an intriguing plot that had many twists and turns, and had exciting action!

I loved how in between chapters we often had excerpts from the history books that would have existed in this world. It was a great addition to the story! It really made this world seem more realistic and intriguing.

The stakes were definitely raised in this book and I was often on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend this series!
