BEST SO FAR HELL YEEEEEE!!!

Fuck yessss that was amazing! Flycatcher, the Frog Prince, is one of my favorite characters now!
This wrapped up so much things but also left a lot unanswered, where the hell does the story go now? So much of the war has been cut off at the waist before it even began!

So many twists and turns, clever things I should have seen coming, what with all the foreshadowing and breadcrumbs left for us.

I'm also still in love with Bigby and Snow's little family 🥺🥺🥺

Also, Prince Charming has turned into an incredible leader somehow, the guy's a genius tactician! 🤯

One small critique, they changed the art style very briefly again, it's truly horrendous and doesn't match the style and tone of the world, I'm glad it was only for a chapter.

Fuck yeah.
I remeber reading the beggining of this volume years ago, before I was forced to stop by other circuntances.
But it's better than I remeber.
The true 5 stars of all of Fables so far.
It's truly magical, fable-like.
Fly is an amazing king and ALL he does is being who he is.
And the end? F*cking hell, it brings me tears to my eyes.
Perfect.

Flycatcher is one of my favorite characters in Fables. At first you only see him as kind of dim and only a janitor, but as the series progresses we learn more of his backstory and parts of his personality begin to shine through. He is smart, compassionate, noble, and peaceful at heart. This volume really lets us see those parts of his character as he attempts to colonize part of the homelands. Exciting arc.

What an amazing volume! I was so glad to be totally engrossed in a true hero tale. Flycatcher steps into his role as the King and leads an army of ghosts against many armies under the direction of the Emperor/Adversary. The most amazing fact is that he does all of this without spilling a drop of blood, making him the most pure fable in the series. This volume is definitely worthy of returning to for another read. For a character that's been fairly largely secondary until now his story makes for a very compelling read. Highly recommend this book!

This was just mesmerising. Watching Ambrose do what he does in this volume will make you whoop more than once. Start reading Fables, my friends, start reading.

This could potentially be my favourite volume so far. This volume concentrates on Flycatcher, who never interested me as a character as say, Bigby or Boy Blue, but this one changed everything! I absolutely loved his story arc, and how it feeds into the overall Fables/Adversary war. Artwork is fantastic as always.

Never did I see it coming that Flycatcher/Ambrose would become a hero. What I loved was his unwavering purity from start to end. I think I may look at all janitors a little differently now.

5 Stars

These volumes just keep getting better and better! If I had know how truly wonderful they were when I started I would have made sure I had them all from the jump. It is going to be torture waiting for them to trickle in from the library!
