Snappsy, or possibly his best friend/narrator, may very well be my favorite story book character of all time.
Cute, but not as funny as I hoped it would be. Definitely would have been more fun to read with a silly toddler.
Snappsy the turtle is a bit of a curmudgeon. He has gained a new best friend, but all he wants is to be left alone. But once the presence of his best friend is gone, Snappsy will realize how much he misses it. A great fun book. I love how the illustrations up the comedy factor.
Perfect read aloud for first/second graders who are all into how many BFF's they have. Some of the humor will fly over their heads, but parents & teachers will be entertained. Tim Miller's cartoon style illustrations highlight & enhance the silliness of the story that also has a subtle deeper message.
