Loved the world built so far. Multiple POV (split across three characters) took a bit of adjustment for me as it’s not always my favorite set up, but once I connected to each character it flowed better for me. I enjoyed where the story went and look forward to seeing what happens for Loulie, Mazen and Aisha in the next one

What an adventure! Although j felt it started a bit slow (what can I say? I like a bold entrance), I felt like I was brought along on a journey - weaved into the tapestry, so to speak. I never felt like I knew what was going to happen and I loved the growth in each of the characters. What an epic start to an amazing story - I can’t wait to continue following our beloved characters’ tale!

this book is a beautiful ride, sucking you in from start to finish. my emotions have been toyed with; my heart belongs to this main cast; my mind is now full of this expansive, magical world that chelsea abdullah has created.

I love fantasy books in an “Arabian nights” setting. I feel like there aren’t enough, and reading fantasy set in different cultures is very eye opening. This is a beautiful start to a new fantasy series, and I cannot wait for book 2!
