Interesting biography but repetitive, could have been 2/3 of its length and better for it

Having read many of Christie's novels and watched many of the screen adaptations based on them, I was intrigued to read this biography. I learned a lot about Christie's life and times and found Worsley's writing very engaging. The photos included were also fascinating.

Sehr spannend und gut gefüllt, wie das eigene Leben zu den Geschichten geführt hat.
Sehr gefüllt mit allen möglichen Informationen, die sicher auch die Agatha Christie Fans noch nicht kennen.

I think I find the subject matter interesting and I liked Lucy Worsley’s narrative voice for the most part. I wish there was a bit more care taken in a few areas (ex. Body related comments).

I’ve not really read much Agatha Christie but nevertheless enjoyed this book - well-written and an interesting account of such a well-known author.

I’m not usually much of a biography reader, but I tore through this book. Worsley is such an engaging writer. I equally enjoyed her JANE AUSTEN AT HOME, which has enriched my reading of Austen’s work beyond measure. .
