I enjoyed this as a fast read, but they probably could have made these two novels into one book. A lot of this story just seemed a little unnecessary and repetitive in my opinion.

I hated how Iker left Lanely. Part of me understood his thinking and why he thought it was right but still hated it lol. Even though he was as miserable as her he deserved it more then she did. Thankfully he came to his senses and realized his BIG mistake and asked for forgiveness. Loved that Lanely didn't give in to him to fast and didn't let go of her job for him. I loved that not only did she pay Gails tuition but also another students. She gave them a chance of a life they never could have. Loved that she also involved Iker into what house to choose. Even though he missed her and wanted to be with her him asking her Dad for help was all for Lanely he didn't want her to give up on her dream job. She deserved that so happy Iker gave her what she deserved .

The Story:

I rarely read a sequel right after the first book but I could not help myself here. Iker and Langley have such strong chemistry and I couldn’t wait to see what he would do to get her back. I loved it.

GREAT SHORT DUET
This is the second book in the duet following Langley and Iker. This is set 9 months after the dining of book 2 . Once again, I listened to this book, and dang, it was so good. Iker knows he has made a horrible mistake, and when he comes back from deployment, he is going to find Langley, but now she is a big life change that will throw a wrench in his groveling. I love these characters. It seems very realistic to me, but rebecca abs Jay do that so well. You know they are different and that it is not going to be easy. It was emotional and just a great afternoon listen.
