What an emotional roller coaster this book took me on! I was not anticipating it even a little bit and I honestly loved every heartbreaking minute of it.

I highly recommend going into this one with as little information as possible. That being said, I won't be sharing much in this review so as not to give anything away.

This book has a truly beautiful found family vibe to it that I absolutely loved. It was filled with complicated friendships that really brought something special to the story. While there was definitely romance in the book, it wasn't at the forefront of the plot. Shockingly, I appreciated that. I say "shockingly" because I'm someone who prefers a strong romance plot more often than not. But it made sense to keep it simple for the sake of this particular storyline.

I cried at least five times while I was reading, which isn't as typical for me. It was a pretty profound book overall with a lot of fantastic elements. Oh, and while it does handle more challenging topics, there is a cheerful ending.

Truly a fantastic novel.
I'll admit that I wasn't the biggest fan ever of If I Never Met You, but after loving Just Last Night so much, I'm very much willing to continue reading her books!

Definitely in my top 5 books I've ever read. Marketed as a rom-com but it's definitely women's fiction with romance sprinkled in lightly. So so so so so good. Would've gone all the way to 5 stars, but the ending felt a little bit rushed.

I thought the ending could have been structured better (SPOILER the trauma reveal at the end of the book felt convoluted) but I enjoyed the rest of the story

Read as Last Night with the word Just being removed from the title in the UK.  Contaibs SPOILERS. A sad story centering on a group of friends but mainly from Eves point of view. It's not a traditional rom com as it's a story of grief, and loss, and working through friendship relationships. A tad rushed in parts, with some story lines not explored, such as Eves relationships with her parents/brother and how her relationship with Fin went from getting to know to love in a few pages, and likewise her disillusionment with Ed felt rushed. However it is beautifully written. If you are looking for a traditional rom com then this is probably not for you. But a fantastic writer that I will be reading more of.

I don’t know what exactly I expected to be honest. It’s charming in all the right ways, comfortably predictable, and when I’m having a hard time I could see myself just rereading and rereading and rereading. The humor is perfect, the relationships and characters are just complex enough to subvert a few expectations and the descriptions of grief and self realization are spot on. Such a delightful read.
