Holy Schnikes.
HOLY SCHNIKES.
I did not only feel connected to this book, I felt nailed down by it. I finished Emily Henry's latest and was on the quest for the same transparent, raw effort of life and THIS DELIVERED in spades. I would recommend this romantical novel to everyone.

This was a very easy read and would be the perfect plot for a romcom movie. Some plot twists I didn’t expect. The story was built really well but felt rushed at the end, which was a dissapointing way to close off the storyline. It was like the author wanted to be conscious of the length but needed to wrap up all the story questions. was happy with the ending though. Either way, recommend this if you’re looking for a book to read before bed / on vacation.

i had to take a little break in between starting and finishing this harrowing book about grief and loss (yet again with the fluffy looking covers tricking me) because it was just too hard to read. it was such an incredibly raw, poignant account of loosing someone that it made all the grief i have carefully locked up in my body run free. it was an incredibly beautiful book, but one to be careful with.

I loved this book, but the cover gives romance book vibes even though it’s more literary fiction. The writing is reflective and also funny. Eve’s internal monologue really resonated with me.

McFarlane does an amazing job of pacing & bringing in balance through heartbreak and recovery. I loved the injection of British humor and the reflections on friendship. This warmed my heart <3

The tagline on this book is SO misleading. It is not a romance between two friends, it has a romantic subplot but it’s about grief and forgiveness and untangling a mess between a group of friends. It was good but not what I expected.
