A sweet little retelling of beauty and beast. Not much story and pure vibes. Nothing is ever fully explained but I still really enjoyed it and the way Willow and Ruori interacted with each other. Ya know. The usual insta-love and unexplained attraction.

If this was a tad longer it probably would have been 5 stars but things werent answer and let you wondering. I wanted to know what the old woman had to do with the curse. I wanted to know if there was a cure for her son. I wanted to understand the curse better and see how and why the others turned into flowers and what she did different.
Again great narrator quick listen and enjoyed it.

If this had been *just* a smidge longer, I’d have loved this but I think there’s a lot crammed into 70 pages that doesn’t get resolved. Why did the curse come about? What did the village wise woman have to do with the curse? What exactly was the curse?? Why didn’t we get to see the beast in his beastly form??? I guess it’s because I expect RD to give us tooth and fangs and blue skin and three toed beings, but I was really disappointed at the build up to all of these beastly features (large teeth, claws, etc) just for us to *never* see it.
I did love the beauty + beast angle and the twist on why the previous brides of Autumn never returned! And obviously it’s Ruby, so I loved what I did get to see if the MCs. I just felt a little bit like this was missing pages or that it needed about two more chapters to elaborate on the curse and the magic.
It’s like….if you watched Beauty and the Beast as a kid and preferred Human Adam to the Beast, this is for you.
