I loved this book! The characters are so interesting and likable. There are so few quality historical fiction books from the revolutionary war and this one was written so well!

A Girl Called Samson is by far the best book I've read this year, and without question, in the top five of my life.

I turned the last page with tears in my eyes. I even read the author’s note, something I never do, and cried again. That’s how much this story held me.

If it finds you at the right time, it will split you open gently. And you’ll be grateful for it.

My first time reading a historical fiction romance in a long time, and it was quite the adventure! Deborah Samson’s story is amazing; I know the book is not all factual but the fact that a woman served in a time like the Revolution is remarkable. I love how the entire arc of the story pinpoints the fact that her story is not well known, and it should be. My only wish would be for the romance to be heavier on the spice, which I know is a personal preference, but it would have added more to how I viewed the main relationship.

I loved this book! Completely different than what I normally read. I didn't want it to end, but wanted to know how it ended. Highly recommended!
