Cute.

This one is right on the borderline for being preschooler appropriate. It's very simple, basically a listing on each spread of things for which we are thankful. It is a bit bizarre that the perspective seems to change - the kids in each spread are different. But, there's lot of diverse gender and ethnic representation, which is wonderful. This book has no real story line, but it begs to be read with lots of questions to the listeners, "What are you thankful for?" "Who gives you good hugs?" "Do you have any pets you're thankful for at home?" If I use it for story time we'll spend more time making personal connections than focusing on the story because there's not a lot of story on which to focus. But, the diversity and simplicity are great.
