I'm a sucker for coming of age middle grade books and this one was pretty solid in my mind.

It’s truly amazing that Hope Larson has crafted such a deep story with complex characters in such a small book! Everything in here felt extremely real, in the best way. Telling a story about relationships between friends is always a challenge without having one side look like the hero and the other the villain, but this was done masterfully. I’ll be thinking about these characters for a while!

All Together Now delivers as part two of the Eagle Rock series. Hope Larson brings us another round of middle-school angst and drama, complete with band battles, ambling lyrics, & friendship follies. Would recommend.

This follow-up to All Summer Long is fun. Bina struggles to find her place musically, with friends, and maybe-boyfriends. Good illustrations - I like the monochromatic color scheme. My daughter didn't like the ending, but I think it does a good job of setting up what I assume will be a third volume.

A nice middle school coming if age tale about a girl trying to figure out her feelings on love, life, and music.

I received this book free through Goodreads First Read.

A good continuation of "All Summer Long". I like how this graphic novel shows one way to deal with writers block. This book really shows the middle school drama and angst.

Honestly, I liked this second installment of the series but it's just not worth it. Nothing that happened in this book mattered to me and I will not be reading the next installment. The illustrations are good but the storyline is basic. I recommend this for middle schoolers, as I am not one.

I cannot stand when toxic behaviours are forgiven with no effort or improvement. Especially in children’s literature! It was disappointing because the diversity and emotion expressed was wonderful but Darcy got away with way way too much. As someone who has been in Bina’s situation with friends being crappy in new relationships especially as a teenager, this was super invalidating to read.
