I really enjoyed this book! The only reason it's not a full five stars is because it definitely wasn't perfect, and it go a little messy and rushed towards the end. Other than that, I thought the characters were very well developed, and I loved the messages this book has on topics such as pain, loneliness, and the power and importance of love and acceptance. I loved all of the characters, and the main character was truly the perfect one of this story. I would highly recommend this book! It almost reminded me of Wilder Girls, which is in my top 15 books of this year. I thought this book had some similar vibes to that book. I guess I'll have to start reading more books like this in the future, because this is the second one with those vibes and general themes that I have really loved.

The first 3/4 (ish) of this seemed like an allegory for queerness, but the last 1/4 seemed to go in other directions. That last 1/4 was kinda confusing tbh I’m not sure what the author was going for.
