Love the intentionality of fully developed characters and the amazing storyline. It seems like most books, you only get one or the other so that was a nice change. The interactions between characters had me laughing as well as rooting for them to overcome all the obstacles they faced. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending. It almost seemed like an after thought and was a bit rushed….”here’s the bad guy again and oof now he is dead.” However, I loved how all of Shep’s dialogue tied together at the end as if he knew all along what would happen.

This book is the type I haven't read in a long time. For the end reminds me a little of a comic strip, I did enjoy some parts. I liked the premise and I enjoyed the relationships between Jilly, Dylan, and Shep. I would not have chosen this, but after picking this one along with others at a discount store, the title and the picture on the front drew me. Now I realize why it's been since high school that I last read Koontz. Although I know now, when I'm in the mood for something a little off-the-wall and a little fantasy driven, Koontz is my go-to guy. :)

I will read anything by Dean Koontz - and have probably read everything he's released so far.

This book was fascinating and entertaining. And I need a sequel immediately.

Not my favorite Dean Koontz novel, but still a worthy read.
