Yay!!!! Sean got a book. Okay, Sean got a novella. I really like Sean. I love his background story. I really like how he is getting his act together. This is why Sean needs a book, a novel.

Okay whining over. I did like the story. Although I love that the series takes place in San Francisco it was nice to get out of town. There is no better place to go than the Napa Valley. It is such a romantic place.

This story finds lot of love and romance in the Napa Valley. Holiday Wishes celebrates a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party. Sean has worked hard to prove he is a new man, a responsible person. He doesn't only want to prove it to the members of the wedding party but to Lotti.

Who is Lotti you might ask. She is Sean's "one that got away". She is his first love. YAY!!!!! Second chance romance!!!!

Sean O'Riley made reservations at the Hartford Bed and Breakfast for his brother, Finn, and his fiancé Pru for his bachelor weekend right before his wedding. The one thing he was not expecting was running into his childhood love Lotti. Sean and Lotti haven't seen each other since they were teenagers and she moved away.

The second Sean sees Lotti, he realizes he is not over her. Lottie had shut herself off from feeling, she has had multiple failed relationships and recently broke off her wedding. Lotti is looking forward to time off from her B&B and taking her trip to Cabo. What they don't expect is snow and mudslides to shut down the roads, leaving them trapped in the B&B.

The two end up working together to replan Finn and Pru's wedding ceremony at the B&B. As they spend more time together they realize that, not only is their meeting up again destiny, but they both have feelings for one another.

I thought his novella was very cute. It shows that no matter what time in your life you meet your The One, they will always not only come back but show up at the most unsuspecting times. I was glad Lotti was able to open herself up to the idea that maybe people do change. I was glad to see Finn and Pru again.

A nice little Christmas novella that's more of the same for this series of twentysomethings who've found their family at the Pacific Pier in San Francisco's Cow Hollow District.

Here the gang heads to Napa Valley for Pru and Finn's joint bachelorette/bachelor party and Sean's in charge, despite his history of unreliability, but he's determined to make sure everything goes right for the big brother who's always been there for him. When a blast from Sean's past greets them at the inn and the weather conspires against their plans, Sean proves to everyone that he's ready to become the dependable one.

This book was cute, but not my favorite of Shalvis’. I loved seeing more of Sean and getting to meet the one that got away from home. Lotti was perfectly likable and fit Sean nicely. What I didn’t like about this book was I didn’t really connect with the characters. I know it is a novella so there isn’t a lot of time, but I’ve read other ones by Shalvis and this one doesn’t quite get to me the way the others do. Overall it is a sweet story for this series and I’ll definitely be reading more.

Christmas is the perfect time to reunite with a lover from the past, so when Lottie and Sean reconnect the sparks are still there even though time has past. But will the relationship be another one night of passion ? Or will this be the real deal that Sean figures out he has been looking for? With adorable characters this was a great holiday read.

I’ve become such a major fan of Ms. Shalvis’s Heartbreaker Bay series that I’m always excited to get my hands on any of the new books that come along! I’ll be honest, I have yet to read Sean’s big brother Finn’s story, but after reading about one of the O’Riley brothers, I’m even more eager to officially meet the other O’Riley brother. Holiday Wishes was a lovely little novella and I very much enjoyed it!

Lotti and Sean are not only a wonderful couple, but are wonderful characters as well - although I have to admit that Sean is my favorite. That’s not to say that I didn’t love Lotti, because I did. She’s smart and funny, she’s cautious and organized, but she’s also adventurous, nice, and fun. Sean is sweet as an all get-out, he’s committed to Lotti and being a more responsible, better person. There wasn’t anything I didn’t love about them - especially Sean.

Holiday Wishes was a fun, sexy little addition to the Heartbreaker Bay series. It’s fast, you can read it in one sitting, and it’s the perfect story to read this holiday season. It will put a smile on your face and make you laugh. I loved Holiday Wishes and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book! Bring it on Kylie and Joe!

Holiday Wishes can be read as a standalone, it’s told from Sean and Lotti’s POV and it ends on a happy note.

Hearbreaker Bay is one of my favorite series. This one was a story of the one that got away and now they're stuck in a B&B during massive rains and mudslides. Sean and Lotti have great chemistry, and it was fun to see all the gang together for a wedding. The story could have been longer to see more of the relationship. It's a very sweet story of finding love again with the one that go away.
