An unexpected delight! Lovely to have a cast of characters 70 and over living interesting lives. Funny, honest and with a lot of heart. I listened to the audio version on BorrowBox and through the narrator, Rachel Atkins, did a great job.

A lovely read, but I caught myself getting bored here and there. But I have to say that this way a really strong debut and I will be checking out the author's other works.

What a fantastic first book! This was a pleasure to read—witty in a delightfully dry way, cheerful, and heartfelt. The three elderly women's developing bond was expertly handled; it was understated yet moving. With topics like loss, infidelity, the discovery of long-buried secrets, and opening oneself up to new experiences, the author dealt tenderly and genuinely.
All three of these older ladies had to ask themselves, "Who am I?" and make decisions about who they wanted to be in the future.
Age doesn't have to mean giving up our ambitions and dreams or avoiding new experiences and adventures, as this book beautifully affirms.
