I found the story slow and a bit on the boring side. It is hoped that the transition to a movie will flesh out the characters and be more entertaining. I do realize that my opinion is not shared by many.

This book was SO incredibly popular and I don't understand why. It was way too slow to start and was bogged down with far too many characters to keep track of. I can only assume it's paving the way for books 2 and 3, like this was a hefty exposition and the rest will be better?

A nice cozy mystery with good character interactions, and a fun twist with it being elderly people solving the mystery

I loved this book.  I love the characters.  I love the premise.  It made me laugh out loud so many times, at one point to tears.   I don’t really read a lot of mystery or spy novel (with Mick Heron being an exception) but I will continue to read this series.
