4.5 stars. Yeah, I loved this book, it was really wonderful!

definitely should've read this before i'll give you the sun.

it sucks when you read an author's best book and then move backwards into disappointing territory. i also did this recently with anthony doerr, author of all the light we cannot see. in comparison to nelson's latest, the sky is everywhere is lesser in every conceivable way. the plot is weaker, the characters less strong, the writing more juvenile . . . the list goes on.

it's kind of a shame, because the sky is everywhere really isn't a bad book. (as you'll see, i've given it four stars.) i just can't help but unfairly compare it to nelson's other, better, work.
emotional tense medium-paced

4 stars for The Sky is Everywhere. It was a really good read but no better than I'll Give You The Sun.
