Green does an amazing job with him platform to highlight injustices and inequalities in society and in this book he uses the lens of one of the world's biggest killers to do just that. A worthwhile read!

Do I still prefer The Anthropocene Reviewed? Yes, but that's a near impossible book to beat, in my opinion.

I'm too deep in the fandom, so I already knew all the facts, having heard John grumble about them over and over in videos and podcast episodes. Still, what a damn compelling book this is. He organised an incredible amount of sources into a coherent story and added dramatic tension by threading Henry's story throughout. Just proving once again how good of a writer he is. Well done, sir.

I was expecting more of a view on how TB shaped society over the years, but got more of a commentary on racism and money in healthcare systems. While many of the problems were oversimplified, they remain real problems that needs more attention. As someone who isn’t affected by and hasn’t put much thought into TB, I appreciate the call to attention by a well known author - it was an easy read for the layman, and I will be doing more reading up on TB after this
