✨ Thrifted ✨
When I saw that this book was written by Bryan Washington and that it was one of Barack Obama’s books of the year, I knew I had to get it.

I unfortunately didn’t love it as much as I thought I would, but I had high expectations because I really adored ‘Memorial’. However, in saying that, there were some very striking parts to this book that I could definitely go back to if I wanted. I especially enjoyed the chapter ‘Waugh’, including Poke and Emil. Emil seemed like such a gentle soul 🥹

This line really got me at the end to:
‘You are the one thing you can never run out on.’

Giving this a 3 out of 5 stars ✨
