i would give this book 4 stars, but with the amount of graphic violence against mostly women it doesn't feel right. the novel is incredibly compelling though and the stream of consciousness style is very interesting. but pls look at the cws and take breaks for your own sanity and well-being

A great read, but not really for the faint hearted, a lot of the chapters (especially the later ones) are very graphic and explicit, with detailed torture etc. I read an online analysis for every chapter online, as it's very in depth, no doubt a classic with very interesting messages!
