Tied for my favorite children's book with [b:The Forbidden Door|1265500|The Society (Forbidden Doors Series #1)|Bill Myers|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1182362885s/1265500.jpg|1254381], but wins because of its totally kickass heroine who is not only a feminist superstar (along with the "bad" dragon and giantess who later become not so bad after all) who wins in the end not with actual buttkicking but by making the wizard laugh. Really, a perfect story.
