I knew this wasn't going to be for me but my best friend wanted me to read it. I would never have read it otherwise.

At times heartbreaking and beautiful, at times fucking weird. The peach scene from the movie has nothing on the shared toilet scene?! Also the writing was a bit pretentious and hard to follow at times.

The writing and atmosphere was exquisite as well as the pacing. I loved the layer of longing, reflection, and nostalgia.

While I definitely enjoyed this read, it was a bit too smutty/explicit for my own reading preferences, but the writing surrounding all aspects of love warranted it nonetheless.

I would have enjoyed more dialogue/conversations featured between Elio and Oliver to enhance the chemistry than just the physical aspect, which took up the majority of their encounters.

I don’t intend to read the sequel, “Find Me”.

Note to self: I read this book solely via audiobook
