I honestly probably didn’t give this 100% of my attention and because of that, I was just superficially invested and my overall feeling was of mild disinterest. However, this is a popular Tchaikovsky read and is very well liked.

So, if you like the concept of Star Trek’s prime directive, where a high tech, anthropological “wizard” was sent to observe a very far in the future humanity, and ends up breaking all his cultural taboos and laws not once, but twice, then this might pique your interest.

Just the cutest little sci fi? romp with a darling premise executed well. Didn't outstay its welcome at all. Not the most serious or dramatic story but not every book needs that, this was a great read.
