The plot twists were crazy in this book! I love how much all the characters have changed and the teams that are formed. I cannot get over some of the betrayals and surprises from this story! I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to finish this series!

Decir primero que Seth no me gusta. Me parece alguien completamente temerario y egoísta, y que le hayan dado poderes me re pudre el cerebro porque me parece que, de alguna manera, lo están recompensando por todas las pelotudeces que hizo. Sus POV son no sólo aburridos sino también molestos para mí. Incluso cuando lloraba con Kendra, I mean... no.

Además, me parece que se tardó un montón de tiempo innecesario en llegar a Wyrmroost. Todo bien cuando intentaban ver el mensaje secreto de Patton en el Pasillo del Terror, pero todo lo demás... gñññññññ. Al igual que la trama de Olloch en el segundo libro, me pareció que la de la blix esta que chupaba la juventud estuvo de más. Completamente. Se podrían haber enterado de cualquier manera que la Esfinge tenía el Oculus.

Pero Wyrmroost me encantó desde el primer momento. Amo los dragones. Me pareció también que el squad que mandaron a la reserva fue muy acertado, con personajes que ya conocíamos y un par más que todavía nos tocaba conocer en profundidad. Los eventos ahí fueron, como mínimo, inoportunos.

Primero Warren (amo a Warren). No me pareció que lo dejen inválido por necesidad (ejem Uriah), o sólo por sacárselo de encima. Estuvo bien, hizo su papel de inválido y ya está. Sobre el final que le dieron, para que entiendan qué tan mal me hizo: soy claustrofóbica.

Todo el tema de que sea un dragón pero no sea un dragón y se haga amigo de Kendra y SU FORMA HUMANA, no sé. Me super encantó, espero ver mucho más de él en el quinto libro. Veníamos de una narrativa de Seth y yo estaba super aburrida y de repente aparece él y fue como que mi cerebro hizo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! y explotó. Una muy muy muy buena adición a la historia.

Y nada se les desmadró la madre, ya veremos qué pasa en el último.

I love the imaginative aspect to these books. There are so many different kinds of fantasy creatures that it really makes things interesting. If that were the only focus (and sometimes that's all I let it be) then these books would be excellent. The problem that I have found is there is very little character development. For one thing, the main characters, Kendra and Seth, have grown hardly at all over the last four books.

But the bigger problem lies in the fact that besides Kendra and Seth, I hardly know or care about any of the other characters. It seems they only exist to help the two children, or to move the story along, but we don't get to hear about who they are beyond a name and a few basic defining characteristics. I think that makes the story weaker, and it could be so much better.

I am really enjoying this series. It's a fun read, but that's about it. It's not anything I'll really be thinking about after I finish.
