my heart breaks for charlie. this book was so beautiful breaking and so godamn heartbreaking because we got to see everything the way Charlie saw it. we didn't know anymore than he did. which is awful especially with everything he finds out at the end

Possibly one of the best books I'll read in my entire life. This book is perfect at showing us how all the characters are imperfect and have unique experiences, to the point where I actually felt deep sonder. I found Charlie and his thought process to be quite relatable at times, and I really enjoyed the epistolary format of the book. I also liked how it dealt with serious topics because, despite being serious, sometimes they barely got a few pages if it didn't really affect Charlie which, to me, felt interestingly realistic, as sometimes we just brush past or move on from morbid spectacles with quite ease. Overall, I loved this book and would recommend this book to all of my friends

The Perks of Being a Wallflower definitely became one of my favorite books of all times. I regret taking so many years to finally read it. Charlie is a very relatable and lovable character.

This whole book is a trigger warning. There are many, so please be cautious. This book still holds up, even ten years after I originally read it. It’s an emotionally difficult read, but it’s worth it.
