I ate this book up. Just For The Summer has been on my TBR for 2 years and I was always nervous to read it bc of the hype that surrounded it, but after reading this one… I’m jumping straight into that one!
This book had so many good things to it: an adult coming-of-age, dealings with grief of relationships, feeling lost in life, and learning to let go and be in the present. It was such a sweet and heart-wrenching read the entire book.
I didn’t know if I wanted to cry or laugh or yell in most scenes, but in the end it all came together perfectly. I loved the summer bucket list plot, but also getting to see this budding relationship between two people who are in the trenches when it comes to the real world.
The ending had me BAWLING (and the family meeting scene????????), anyways, I’ll let you all take a read and see why.
If you’re looking for a sign to read this book, please let this be that sign. Read this book, NOW! Or listen to the audiobook like me, either works ☺️
