Read this book with high hopes because of reading the last one surpassed the first book in the trilogy. I was disappointed in how the passing happened to be slower to be then the first book. It felt like I was never going to finish this book. Yes, I did end up skimming the last chapters because I was so ready to move onto other books and start reading what I had gotten for Christmas.

Eliza deserves so much better for the end of her and Alex's love story. True to points of the terrible tragedy that became their loves.

While I really enjoyed the first two books, I did not like a few choices that were made by the author. There is a side plotline concerning Eliza that while shows good charecter growth did make her seem less likeable when that wasn't needed. The handling of the Reynolds affair was also not my favorite. However, it's not a terrible read and does wrap up the other two.

This was my least favourite in the series. This historic-fiction novel is intended for young adults, but I honestly think most of that age group would get bored with this book.

I really enjoyed the last of the Alex and Eliza trilogy, and the trilogy as a whole. The last installation of the trilogy has a decent amount of suspense, even if you are familiar with the history of Alexander Hamilton, the Reynolds Pamphlet, and his affair. The romance was also enjoyable but not too surprising. This trilogy has definitely inspired me to read more Alexander Hamilton, and most definitely more Eliza Schuyler Hamilton books!
