I really enjoyed this, not only was it a tale of true honest horror it also served as a warning. Jennet was so overcome with grief and anger that she never forgave and continues even through death to spite others, purposely inflicting the tragedy of her life upon other parents and continuous reliving the worst day of her life.

A really sad book at the end, and the pages were infused with the grief that befell the entire family at the death of a child. The untouched nursery was especially poignant and reflected the state of the occupants of the house who never truly moved on. Though the build up of the book left a lot to be desired; it was sometimes dull and it felt as though the story was going nowhere; the last 50-40 pages more than made up for the slow start, as the true 'horror' began.

Gimmicky writing, but enjoyable slow-burn horror. Somewhat predictable.

Horror yang asyique! Walaupun sudah nonton filmnya, dan filmnya pun oke, nggak lantas mengurangi keseraman buku ini. Malah imajinasi semakin jelas karena sambil terngiang-ngiang adegan filmnya....

This Halloween had to be commemorated with a ghost story. 'The Woman in Black' was the chosen one.

I actually REALLY enjoyed reading this novel. It was short, yet punchy. It kept me hooked, it kept me spooked, it kept me reading. There's something about gothic classics and ghost stories that just make me feel cosy (?). This novel was definitely a great choice for this year's spooky season.

I love ghost stories and gothic stories. So I was sold on this book before I even read it. I love the book. The book was fast paced and atmospheric. I can understand why this is a horror classic and has stayed one people love.
