Not Okay does a fabulous job of messing with you.

It follows the story of Marvin May, who recently got laid off from his job and is working nights at a gas station. He’s got a wonderful wife that he loves dearly. He’s got an okay life until it starts to spiral out of control.

I found this book hard to put down. Marvin’s an extremely well-written character and you’re constantly second-guessing yourself as you try to figure him out, and trying to decide what’s real and what’s not.

Mental Illness is something we all get touched by one time or another in our lives. Marvin May is not okay. This book opens your eyes to what it's like when your mind is going places that aren't real. I felt sorry for Marvin, but I was rooting for his HEA, but we don't all get that in real life, do we?

You will be kept guessing to what's really going on to the last page really. The last chapter brings it all together, and what a mind bending it ends up being. I can't say enough how much this book needs to be read by the masses. It's okay to not be okay, but if you need help, ask someone, call someone, and let's help each other to maybe one day, be okay.
