The narration of this one is absolutely top tier, but I'm currently on the fence about finishing because the MMC is just a sea of red flags and I'm finding it hard to enjoy. Yes life is all shades of grey and reader discernment will vary, but it's hard to like this character because of the coercion.
The MMC and FMC both have a troubled history in their hometown, but at this stage I'm struggling to get my head around how he manages to take the moral high ground. He goes from wanting to be her first in all things, to snarling that she will taint the life he has now. There's also the matter of the parental abusers (now grandparents) and choices the MMC makes in that regard.

I'll eventually finish this one because as I've said, the narration is what is elevating the story, but not today.

BRIT HAS DONE IT AGAIN! I was in deep from the get go. The friendship, history, love that these two share through everything is addictive and kept me glued to the story. All of it had me on my toes while also keeping me on the edge of my seat just waiting for everything to happen. I flew through this one so fast I had to read it again slower to fully bask in the writing and nuances of all the characters. Ms Benson just keeps blowing me away with her emotional storytelling. Bravo girl!

Brit Benson did it again! This contemporary rock star romance has everything you would want. Childhood sweethearts, angst, twists I didn’t see coming, great spice, and an HEA. The way Sav and Levi love each other throughout all their trauma is truly beautiful and I will be reading this again and again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I honestly do know how to say this or write a proper review on this book But OH MAN!!! I have never felt those feelings before while reading. I cried. Laughed. Got so pissed. Was floored. Wowed. And even had some twists in there I did not see coming! She blew me away with this one! And it’s forever ingrained into my heart! I highly recommend it. Drop everything and read it!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.5- Savannah the rockstar and Levi the savior. It was emotional and frustrating. A lot of pushing away. Childhood friends to lovers, he’s got a kid which then there’s a twist to that at the end, drugs and abuse, rockstar lifestyle, second chance romance, Levi was such a sweetheart and big time hero for everyone. Hate that there’s so many years in between for them.
