I wasn’t super into most of the stories. Some were just okay (the first two), and the middle ones were tough to get through. The last story, however, is a banger. I’d say read that one if you get the chance.

what a great collection. “the white cats divorce” is one of the best short stories i’ve read in a long time. i loved every second of it. “skinder’s veil” was fantastic. “the girl who did not know fear” was also so amazing! ugh i just loved these. almost every other story was great but those three really stuck out to me. unfortunately i did skip “the game of smash and recovery” because the audiobook narrator was just too annoying <3

i really liked some of the stories here (mainly the first and last one and maybe the christmas snow one) but some of them were also really hard to follow and too confusing sometimes. 

overall loved the magical realism and the hidden amounts of magic in every book. i can def see why this is one of fia’s favs lmao

It was advertised as a mix between The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror, but it was unexpectedly so strange that I lost the plot several times in this collection of short stories.
