Another great book. The format of the journal works really well. It’s packed with funny anecdotes, rails against big corporations and touching stories.
I’d read Sean’s other journal first (Confessions of a Bookseller) but don’t think that the reading order made a big difference.
The excerpts from Orwell at the beginning of each month prompted me to read the whole essay. I also found myself making a list of the books that are mentioned by the author. Increasing my ‘Want to Read’ list …although NOT ‘The History of Orgies’

A look into the realities of owning a bookstore and the characters who work and visit there. Really funny and occasionally disturbing look into the business side of books. I loved the way the author describes the staff, family and friends. I felt like I was part of this Scottish village. A lovely place to spend some time.

I cannot listen to this audiobook narrator, and I don't feel like picking up the print when there are more exciting books to read.

Some amusing anecdotes but repetitive and boring in the sum.
