I read and loved the prose version of Bomb and I liked this graphic novel version just as much! I also feel like this version will be more accessible to the younger crowd. I'm also just a sucker for anything Cold War related. The story flows nicely and keeps you wanting to find out what happens next. The art is reminiscent of old school comics (would pair nicely with the graphic memoir by Stan Lee, "Amazing Fantastic Incredible"). I think this will appeal to any history buff or comic book fan!

I don’t know if I would have been able to parse out the multiple story lines of the race to build and steal the atomic bomb if I hadn’t read Sheinkin’s original. A totally fascinating story, the reader really has to be ready to make the shifts in time and location. A more accessible, perhaps, version of the original. But I’d say the original is much better.

Read for Oppenheimer (2023)!!

I actually can't believe that some scenes and dialogues in this book are the exact same as in the film.

A great adaptation of this nonfiction text. I got to hear Steve speak at NTTBF about this title and was so interested to read the graphic novel version since I really enjoyed the nonfiction title when it released in 2012.

An interesting take on a true historical event put in graphic form. Lots of facts provided, a bit wordy but any history buff would love this. Illustrations went well with the written word. This would be a good book for struggling readers. Anyone who is interested in nuclear physics and science would enjoy this graphic novel. There were many characters, which sometimes became confusing. Lots of names/jobs to keep track. History buffs would enjoy this GN.
