My biggest critique for this is that it's quite evident Elior isn't very familiar with Yiddish literature -- she cites only one Yiddish woman writer, and it's Glukel of Hameln. Not even a shoutout for Esther Kreitman, who would be a great choice for discussion of "the madwoman in the women's gallery" -- and I would love to see how the argument would develop by taking more Yiddish sources into account. An-sky is An-sky but he's also only one writer.
