I do love a comedy of manners. not quite The School for Scandal or The Importance of Being Earnest, but fun nonetheless. Unfortunately, everybody knows a Toby.

A fun comedy of errors from the late 18th century involving two potential couples.
Miss Hardcastle is being set up with Mr. Marlow, except he's nothing but a stammering idiot around ladies of his class, so she pretends to be a barmaid in order to discover his true character. Her stepbrother Mr. Lumpkin is betrothed to her best friend Miss Neville, only the two of them can't stand each other and Neville is in love with Mr. Hastings, the best friend of Mr. Marlow. Numerous hilarious misunderstandings ensue, at the expense of nearly everybody.
