I absolutely love when a book makes me feel happy. This book was so hard to put down. There was no moments that dragged and there were no slow parts. I loved the chemistry between Jasmine and Jake. I do wish that there was an epilogue more than anything. I want to know what happens with Jasmine and Jake a year after. Both characters were amazing with their own flaws but that wasn’t a bad thing. It made them more real to me. It made me want to read more about them. This book was absolutely fantastic. If you’re looking for spicy, this isn’t one of those books. However, I don’t think that detracts from the book in anyway. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Cute romance that has a lot of focus on personal growth and family relationships! Would recommend to someone who likes romantic comedies with a plot and a touch of spice.

why does accidentally going on a seniors cruise with your parents feel like something that would happen to me?? 🤪
such a cute premise for a romance (and thanks to @berkleyromance for sending it to me!) — loved the indian culture in this one, all the interfering aunties and uncles, the dynamics jasmine had with her parents and their expectations and disappointments with her, and how she reckoned with her own desires and self-confidence along the way. it’s a slow burn and a closed door romance with a perfectly timed third act breakup right at 75% through, but you know that HEA is worth it. 😌

This was a super quick read which was nice! I think most of the writing was subpar, but I definitely enjoyed the back half of the book so much more than the first. I think Jasmine and Jake needed more written development in their relationship, but I really liked them together!

The description didn’t really sell me but I’d been recommended this, and at the beginning I didn’t like the heroine and was dubious. However this was very sweet and full of emotional growth, I was delighted with the yearning and the development. This was charming.
