Beautiful and gutting at the very same time. As a lover of books, this one brilliantly explains why we love books the way we do. It is a tender story about a list of books that impacts so many people tremendously. I felt seen by the author — understanding and explaining so many reasons why I’ve come to love reading and books so much.

This book found me at exactly the right time. The story is heartfelt and while it starts off slow you quickly begin to feel for the characters and become deeply invested in their lives and journeys. Adams does a wonderful job of incorporating both classic and new-age titles into the story in a way that allows you to get a feel for each book without feeling bombarded with information. Reading this book transported me into each novel mentioned and made me eternally thankful for libraries and all that they do.
