The annoying character of Gilderoy Lockhart is sometimes too annoying but all ends well. The characters of Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue to grow, and Hermione begins to see that breaking the rules every now and then has its benefits.

None of these content warnings play much of a role (except for the violent attacks on students) and none of the worse aspects are realised (e.g. the violent attacks on students are them getting paralysed, but no POV character experiences that)pelledorso's review against another edition
