In the authors note at the end, King mentions that the man who wrote ‘The Shining’ is a different man than who wrote ‘Doctor Sleep’, and he’s very correct. I read the two right in a row and it was hard to get into ‘Doctor Sleep’ because of the complete difference in writing. I still really enjoyed this book once I’d read some of King’s newer ones and figured out his more recent writing style.

I haven't read a Stephen King book for years and was keen to read this one after reading The Shining a couple if years back. I am pleasantly pleased how much I enjoyed this book.

Adorei!

Achei que ia ser um livro mais separado do original (“The Shining”) mas afinal teve muitas pontes de ligação, não só através do protagonista e das suas recordações, mas mesmo em termos de paralelos entre o protagonista neste livro com o seu pai no primeiro livro.

Tudo escrito de forma brilhante claro, como o autor sempre habituou o seu público! As descrições continuam incríveis e a causar a sensação que se quer neste género de livros de thriller/horror! Manteve me agarrado especialmente na segunda metade, mesmo sendo um livro quase de 600 páginas
