4.5 stars? I’m seriously debating whether to officially mark it as four or five stars.

Anyway, it took awhile to get into this one. For the first part (“book one”) it just felt kinda… idk, and it didn’t seem as good as The Cruel Prince. Then it picked up for the second part (“book two”).

Okay though now I am confused by that ending. Thankfully I bought both this and the third book at the same time so I can instantly start it. Alth not right away bc I need time for my brain to recover, also I have plenty of library books first.

Anyway, after all the ✨betrayal✨ and ✨enemies✨ etc Jude has, I wouldn’t be all to surprised if she doesn’t survive the entire next book alth a hea would be much preferred pls.

Probably more accurately to say it was a 4 - 4.25 star rating. I thought this book was a little slow starting in the beginning but once I got further into the book, I really got into the book. I got to see more of Jude & Cardan’s relationship and more of that I hate you but I want you kind of trope, which I absolutely loved. I definitely think this book went into more depth with the characters then The Cruel Prince and gave me more to like about them. As for the plot, like I said, it was slow at first but I really enjoyed reading the final chapters and I can’t wait for the third book in November.
