Not as good as the first in my opinion but still an excellent sequel and I am excited to read the third. I thought this book was a well thought out story that left me satisfied at the end and interested throughout.

This book did not hold my attention. I had hoped the series would pick up once the world expanded, but I remained uninterested in thr characters. I'm surprised, because I normally like Sanderson's writing style.

I would die for a few of these characters. I struggle with YA sometimes, but this is a great example of YA done well. Yeah, it can still feel immature and Spensa can be incredibly annoying. But the story itself is interesting and the characters, though occasionally irritating, are compelling as well.
