I loved this book. I liked the first one but this one was so much better. The description of the alien world pulled me right in. I would definitely recommend this to any sci-fi fan.

I loved how considered the different needs of the aliens were as if highlighting how a society can be disability friendly.

I also loved how pronouns were used so casually in the book with the alien species being referred to as they/them as well as she/her and he/him. The concept of how all the aliens were weird to the main character and it also pointed out how that was a very human way at looking at it was so good!! The detailed description of of the different species with different cultures and ideas and even ways of reproducing was fascinating.

The twists of the plot as well. They were definitely foreshadowed but I had no idea and everything just perfectly slotted into place. Things started happening so quickly in the last 150 pages. It did frustrate me how it ended so suddenly so I guess I'll have to read the next book very soon (although I am going to read the first two novellas first).
